On travelling............

i think the Chinese do travel as much as the ang mos. It's just that they would prefer to go in big tour groups, while ang mos prefer backpacking and going for off beaten tracks. yup...i have to agree with Evon too...when u talk to these ang mos who have been travelling to many places, it will make you go awestrucked and feel like a bimbo sometimes. At the same time, it provokes up the desire in us to go travelling! I mean we don't have to go to Europe or somewhere else. There are so many exotic islands in Malaysia and Thailand and it's not going to cost much if we go backpacking around southeast asia too...hee...I am pretty enthusiastic about going to Koh Pha Ngan for the full moon party....anyone interested? hee...

oh by the way, poor min will only start her first exam on the 2nd May and will only finish her last academic paper in her 22 years on the 17th May 2003! so all u nusians and smuians should be happy that u all are done with the irritating exams so much earlier!

*boohoo* back to studies for me now.....

Cheers,

Mian

It's true, isn't it? There are so many 'real lives' hidden from view. You see all these ads for fat women or women with bad skin, and you wonder who these ads are targeting 'cos you see nothing but slim and beautiful people on the streets. You know those one room HDB flats with dark and narrow corridors? I always wonder where they shot those for tv, until I visited a friend who rented a flat there (cheap mar) and got a feel of it. I mean, I know these existed, but it's always different from knowing it exits to being there yourself. Singapore is so small but yet so many sides of it i don't know.... to know contentment... http://www.ncm.org.tw/shoes.swf

Hahhahah when einstein (is that how you spell his name?) deduced that time is relative, he probably saw his hair as black the last time he looked into the mirror. One month. Gosh. It feels more than that, certainly.

What is it with ang mohs and travelling? A's grandparents were touring the world in the 50s man, and most backpackers I talked to in Samui have not been home in years. My australian neighbour was travelling around too, and she speaks Japanese and bits of Chinese now. When she popped by 'cos she was in Sg, I felt really small (Ally Mcbeal style!) 'cos all I know is Singapore and it's so small. Come on girls, let's so somewhere. Anywhere! As long as it's not a guided tour and we can be there for more than just a few days or a week...Actually I'm thinking further and wondering about an international work permit so I can stop and work wherever I am when cash runs out.....OF COURSE that is just a thought for now.

Hmmm the ang mohs are doing all the travelling but yet the Chinese are the ones scattered all over the world. Interesting..
